APHE TC has been supporting Instructors and Training Sites for over 17 years! We are excited to help you and your team grow.
AHA Instructor Trainers must first be aligned with the APHE TC. If you are not yet aligned, please click here for more information and to apply.
Please review the "Advantages of Aligning with APHE TC" below and complete the application to send us the necessary information to start the process of becoming an AHA Instructor Trainer (Instructor Essentials Faculty)! We look forward to working with you!
Train-the-Trainer Classes are available to Instructors who are aligned or affiliated with the APHE TC.
In order to teach Train-the-Trainer Classes, APHE TC Instructors must first be approved as Training Faculty (TF). If you are not already TF, click here to learn more and apply.
In order to offer Train-the-Trainer Classes, you must apply to be an AHA Instructor Essentials Faculty (IEF) with the APHE TC.
The Fee to become an AHA Instructor Essentials Faculty (IEF) with the APHE TC is $499 per IEF.
You will receive a link to pay when your application is approved.
You will review and sign the "APHE Train-the-Trainer Agreement.” This agreement explains what you can expect from APHE and what we expect from you.
You will receive access to APHE's Instructor Essentials Faculty (IEF) Education. This online class explains what you will be teaching in your Train-the-Trainer classes.
After the agreement is signed and your education is complete, use the online form to "Set Up an AHA Instructor Class" (access is restricted until the education and agreement are complete).
As Instructor Candidates (new instructors who are not yet certified) sign up to participate in your Train-the-Trainer class, use our online form to "Report AHA Instructor Candidates."
The Fee to certify a new instructor is $99 per Instructor Candidate.
Since your Instructor Candidates are aligning with the APHE TC, we have some communication with them during the certification process. APHE ensures that your Instructor Candidates have the resources that they need and that we have the correct documentation.
Teach your Instructor Candidates in the Train-the-Trainer class. Students arrive and sign in. You teach your class and submit the documentation, like every other class that you teach.
After the Train-the-Trainer class, you will schedule time with each Instructor Candidates to monitor his or her first class. After the Instructor Candidate has successfully been monitored, complete the "TF Monitor Form."
After an Instructor Candidate successfully completes the monitoring and documentation (sent electronically), an Instructor eCard is sent by APHE. Your hard work is done, and another AHA Instructor is certified to teach lifesaving skills!
