In order to monitor AHA Instructors and Candidates, you must be AHA Training Faculty (Instructor Trainer) with the APHE TC.

You will review and sign the "APHE Training Faculty Agreement.” This agreement explains what you can expect from APHE and what we expect from you.

You will receive access to APHE's Training Faculty Education. This online class explains what you will be teaching in your Train-the-Trainer classes.
Monitored Teaching

You will monitor an AHA Instructor Candidates teaching his or her first class or certified AHA Instructors who are renewing. After successful monitoring, complete the "TF Monitor Form."

After you successfully monitor an Instructor or Instructor Candidate and he or she completes the documentation (sent electronically), an Instructor eCard is sent by APHE.
Now That You Are an Approved Instructor Trainer...
1. Training Faculty Education
You will receive access to APHE's Training Faculty Education. This online class explains what you will be teaching in your Train-the-Trainer classes.
2. Monitored Teaching
You will monitor an AHA Instructor Candidate teaching his or her first class or certified AHA Instructors who are renewing. After successful monitoring, complete the "TF Monitor Form."
3. Congratulate the New or Renewing Instructor!
After you successfully monitor an Instructor or Instructor Candidate and he or she completes the documentation (sent electronically), an Instructor eCard is sent by APHE.
